Image from 2014- I'm sure it looked similar to this though

Sennen Cove on the south coast of Cornwall. Its been like this several years in a row, around this time of winter, heavy storms coming in from the Atlantic at the perfect angle to batter cornwall.

This image is not current just FYI, it's several years old

I saw this one FB a few days ago and was quickly found to be a picture from 2014/15.

level 3

It happens a lot there, so it wouldn't have looked too different, but yeah this is an old pic from like 2/3 years ago.

Mmm watcha say

That is both amazing and terrifying. Wow!

Look at that scale! The water just gets some crazy height. I'd be terrified.

Those houses don't look strong enough, but I guess they are?

level 2

Waves don't tend to get near them. Lot of rock and shit in the way.

level 1

That sure is a heap of a wave.

level 2

Underrated comment.

Reminds me of the Pom Poko film by studio ghibli

It was mostly low tide during the day this time so the waves weren't crashing as big as this old picture. It was blowing though!

During the storm in the picture there was an exceptionally high tide plus a large storm surge which combined to make the tide higher than I've ever seen it.
